Continuity Through Planning was established in 2021 to support organisations in developing and strengthening their operational resilience. We provide subject matter expertise to design and implement robust continuity programs, crisis response frameworks, and training initiatives—ensuring businesses are prepared to respond effectively to any major incident or disruption while continuing to deliver vital services to their customers.

While the company is newly incorporated, our principal consultant brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Operational Resilience. He has worked across a diverse range of industries including FinTech, Local Government, Online Betting, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Distribution, Travel, Insurance, and Roadside Assistance. His past work includes leading the operational resilience programme at Funding Circle (2017–2019), and delivering recent projects for Rightmove, Corio Generation, and Clean Carbon.

Founder / Principal Consultant
Paul Mitchell
With over 20 years of experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Operational Resilience, Paul has worked across both public and private sectors — including FinTech, Local Government, Online Betting, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Distribution, Insurance, and Roadside Assistance.

Paul led the AA’s Crisis Management team during their response to COVID-19 and continues to support the long-term resilience improvements that followed. He brings a practical, people-focused approach to every project, with a passion for helping organisations build stronger, more adaptable operations — and for mentoring the next generation of resilience professionals.
Senior Consultant / Game Designer
Kyle Cruickshank
With over 20 years of experience in IT operations, Kyle brings deep expertise in data analysis, operational risk, and scenario-based problem solving. He holds a Master’s in Wargaming and Resilience Planning from Brunel University, specialising in strategic foresight and decision support.

Demonstrated expertise in IT operations, requirements gathering, data analysis, and operational risk assessment—key components of modern corporate strategy. Proven track record in applying red teaming and wargaming methodologies to enhance strategic decision-making. Highly skilled at converting complex datasets into strategic intelligence, managing high-security, high-risk IT environments, and leading cross-functional teams under pressure.
